Probably because people like to know there are other people out there who share their pain. I haven't had a cold sore recently, but a unicorn horn of a zit is currently residing on my forehead, but that is a story for another... In other news I was thinking that we need more cold sore humor. Most of my breakouts have been due to stress after all whether work or personal. I think that humor would go a long way to helping alleviate stress. Maybe a t-shirt for when you are having an active break: This isn't a cold sore, economic difficulties have force me to rent my face out to a family of weasels. A family of anything would work really; weasel is just the first thing that came to mind.
